Proxxi’s November Newsletter - 2020
We hope that you have had a good start to your November! In this month’s newsletter we will be discussing recent updates from the CDC. We have also included a case study with one of our customers.
New CDC Contact Tracing Guidelines
On October 21st, the CDC changed their contact tracing guidelines from a 15 minute sustained interaction at 2m / 6ft to a cumulative 15 minutes over the past 24 hours. This is consistent with how Proxxi Contact is set up to perform contact tracing.
We have created a blog post discussing more about how this practically impacts your organization. You can read more here.
Case Study with HySecurity
With Contact Tracing Technology being so new to the market, we spend a lot of time talking about how things could be used, with few examples of how the technology has actually impacted organizations. Earlier this month, Proxxi’s Partner Manager Tom Newton spoke with Brandon Mambelli of HySecurity, an early customer of ours. In this discussion, Brandon was able to explain how using Proxxi Contact has impacted his organization, and why HySecurity chose to implement an automated solution.

Daylight Savings
While doing contact tracing, you may have noticed that the UTC time zone denotation in the contact reports has changed. If you see that the UTC time (denoted after the contact date) has changed, do not worry! This is just a result of the Daylight Savings time change in your region.
Mobile App Update
At this time there is a fully optional app update available (v1.2.3). This resolved an issue one of our customers had with performing wristband assignment.
