IEEE Highlights

In March our team members Ryan and Campbell attended the 2023 IEEE IAS Electrical Safety Workshop in Reno, NV.

Proxxi attended the IEEE Electrical Safety Workshop

There they met with electrical safety specialists and other attendees who also care deeply about protecting workers from the hazards of electricity. In connecting with IEEE representatives and industry players, they had the opportunity to better understand the trajectory of the electrical safety industry.

Ryan and Campbell also had the opportunity to attend sessions with experts focusing on key topics to help keep workers safe from electricity. Some of the most insightful sessions included:

  • Why can’t a person use a proximity sensor to verify a zero voltage state for low voltage systems? With Joe Rachford from e-Hazard

  • Why do electrical fatalities occur on the job? Presented by Daniel Majano and Brett Brenner from ESFI

  • A deeper dive into leading / lagging indicators for electrical safety is required with Mike Doherty from e-Hazard

Want to connect with Ryan or Campbell about their time a IEEE? Reach out via email and let them know what you thought about the weekend, or what you want to learn more about.
